Simone qualified as a Physiotherapist at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Her career as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist has spanned over three decades. She has worked both in Johannesburg and in Perth, Australia, having immigrated with her family in 2008

Simone’s interest in demonstrating the many benefits of functional movement in connecting, integrating and balancing mind and body lead to working alongside Jannie Claassen in developing the Movement Therapy Program. At the time both she and Jannie studied kinesiology, craniosacral therapy and structural integration which inspired, expanded and supported their holistic approach.

Her  interest in treating patients living with  chronic pain began more than a decade ago. She began working as part of a multidisciplinary chronic pain team in 2013. Her current role is Clinical Facilitator and APA Pain Physiotherapist of a multidisciplinary chronic pain management program in Perth, Western Australia.

Simone hopes to inspire people to discover for themselves their own uniqueness and individuality and how  engaging in functional movement connects and integrates our minds and bodies which can have a positive effect on us.
